Apple Cake

230g self-raising flour

115g butter

115g caster sugar

1 egg

4 sliced cooking apples

Cinnamon

Add the sugar and a pinch of salt to the flour.

Melt the butter, beat the egg, and add both to the flour.

Mix with a spoon to form a wet dough.

Cover a baking tin with half the dough.

Add the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

Crumble the remaining pastry over the top.

Bake at 190°C for 30 minutes.
